OUR 2018 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

This year we proudly presented scholarships to seven local area students!

Five are local high school graduates and two are women who have had an interruption in completing their educational goals, but who now are returning to school to finish their programs.

Our scholarship award recipients include:

Sparta High School graduate Bayleigh Takacs who will be attending Southern Connecticut State University studying business administration;

Sparta High graduate Katharine Campion, who will be attending Stockton University and studying biology/pre-med;

Sparta High School graduate Jennifer Hopkins, who was selected by our Daytime Literature Group to receive her award, will be attending Sussex County Community College;

Sussex County Technical School (Vo-Tech) graduate Nicole Swiderski, who was selected to receive her award by our Creative Arts department, will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design; 

Sussex County Technical School graduate Lillian Pelaez who will be attending Sussex County Community College and studying computer science;

Kim Van Gorden who has returned to school at Morris County Technical School in the LPN program. She was referred to Sparta Woman’s Club through Project Self Sufficiency; and

Gina Muth who is returning to school at Rutgers University to study Library and Information Sciences. She is currently employed at Sparta Library.

The Sparta Woman’s Club is pleased to congratulate all of our recipients as they pursue their future careers.  We wish you every success in all your endeavors!

SUSSEX COUNTY TECHNICAL SCHOOL


Lillian Pelaez, from Sussex County Technical School, will be applying her scholarship award towards her Computer Science studies at SCCC.

SPARTA LIBRARY


Gina Muth, from the Sparta Library, will be attending Rutgers University  to pursue  a degree in Library  Sciences.  Mrs. Suzanne Belvedere (right) from the Sparta Woman's Club is shown presenting the award to Gina (on  the left).
